It's the hand that everyone loves to hate.

You look at your 1st down-card and you see a
Jack. The next card is dealt to you and you're
naturally hoping it matches the 1st...

...Until you remember that pocket Jacks is a
hand that even the greatest players in the
world seem to lose large amounts of money with.

Let's say the blinds are $1 $2 and you're on
the button.

Six other players at the table try to limp in
and the action is to you.

There is $11 in the pot up to this point. You
raise the action $20 by throwing $22 in the pot.

This is a rather large bet with respect to the
pot size.

You made this big bet because you either want
to STEAL THE BLINDS now, or create "heads up"
action against just ONE of the six limpers.

You DON'T want two or more callers going up
against your Jacks.

You see, if you narrow the action to just one
caller, your chances of winning the hand
will increase substantially.

Let's say Drew is the only player to call the bet.

The flop hits Q,9,3, with 3 different suits.

Drew is 1st to act and he checks to you.

You definitely don't like the Queen on the board,
but you must fire out another bet.

Even if the flop hit A,K,J, I would fire out
another bet if my opponent had checked to me.

You must remember that Drew tried to limp in from
the start. If he has one of the cards on the board,
he probably has a small kicker... which will make
him hesitant to call a large bet.

Drew folds to your $40 bet and you turned your
Jacks into a great winning hand.

I've found this to be the best method of winning
with a pair of Jacks. Of course, remember to
make similar large bets with hands like AK, AQ,
9's, and others...

The key is to be STRATEGIC without being PREDICTABLE.

Yeah nice strat, but:
Could be a very expensive strategy especially if you play in tournaments :o)

Hej

So - thank you, Zapera, I`ll try the strategy and hope that it will be a help for me.
